I think I've found a pregnancy theme song, lol:
I didn't buy nearly as much as I thought I would. Actually, I started out with literature. I bought "What to Expect: The First Year" and also purchased "The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide." They also have a website at http://babygizmo.com. Of course, I had to get a little something for the boy, so I picked up a two pack of bodysuits for the D-Backs games next year:
And of course I spent a good deal of time adding to the baby registry. I'm surprised at how quickly we were able to agree on items once we knew what we were having. Some of the bigger stuff off the registry:
The Crib:
Changing Table that matches crib:
The Crib Bedding:
Travel System (Stroller and Car Seat Match)
Oh, and of course, I registered for the matching play yard, and swing.
And now I need to plow through these books and see what else I'm going to need for baby that I'm not considering.
VERY CUTE STUFF!! I loved shopping for baby things. We couldn't do without the pack n play, which you mentioned you registered for. A wipee warmer is a nice-to-have. A Boppy is nice, but I found I used mine less than I thought I would.
ReplyDeleteSoooo fun. Babies 'R Us is like crack for a pregnant/new mommy. You will lose your mind and your life savings in that joint, and it WON'T MATTER A SINGLE BIT. 'Cause he's worth it.
ReplyDeleteAre you gonna nurse? I used the Brest Friend pillow with both my girls--loved it. A lifesaver. That and the Ultimate Crib Sheet...the greatest invention in the history of the world. Go look it up--it would take me 2 more paragraphs to exalt its greatness. But you need it...I promise.
Shopping for baby stuff is SO overwhelming.. I highly recommend adding "Baby Bargains" to your books, it really helped narrow things down for me when registering and shopping.
ReplyDeleteGL!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful recommendations, although I'm going to have to giggle at the wipe warmer suggestion. All my books say "no way jose" to those, as they consider them to be a fire hazard :)
