So, two thoughts have been running predominantly through my head today.
1) George Carlin NAILED it with his views on the environment. Please, watch this. It sums up my thought process perfectly!
And while I didn't agree with everything George Carlin had to say on politics and religion, I can definitely get with him on the planet earth!
2) Feminism. And mostly how Feminism has destroyed the family and marriage since the 60's. I've been doing some research (shallow research, for the moment) but I am becoming more and more convinced that the coalition of women that hate men have done drastically more damage then good. I will expand on this a lot further as I do more research, but I definitely plan on writing more on this subject.
I totally agree with you on feminism. I would say that even the non-man-hating feminists have also done damage. Any group whose activities undermine the value of the traditional family is suspect in my book.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about you today wondering how you are. I haven't seen a post from you in a while.
Vicki makes a great point about the value of the traditional family.
ReplyDeleteI ran into you at AMERICAN INTEREST and loved your blog name because I'm a second wife of a wonderful guy who's first wife finally died of alcoholism...he stayed in a terrible marriage for 20 years because of their kids but finally decided he'd had it....Before she died, after we were married, I referred to her as "The Wrong Wife" instead of the "Ex Wife". I like the Right Wife! I'm sure it's true in ALL senses of the word!
God bless!! z
RIP, George. I echo Vicki's comment, as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't even get me started on feminism...it DOESN'T take a village. But you already knew this, of course.
With all due respect, how is the right of women to vote, work, own property, and speak our minds an undermining of the family? If anything, we need women's voices to be heard because we're the ones who more often than not run the family and know what it needs. Feminism is not about hating men and destroying the family--it's about having the right to speak up for ourselves...and our children.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - Unfortunately the intentions of the womens movement have been completely overlooked by the overwhelming desire of feminist women to engage in the most sordid behavior men are known for. The specifics you mentioned - the right to vote, own property and speak our minds? We HAD all that before the feminist movement.
ReplyDeleteThe feminist movement has led to women who believe taking care of their family and children is a form of slavery. It is disgusting.
