Low Carb on Bridgewood...
Just a quick sidenote - I'm going to be attempting another round of low carb madness. It has been quite some time since my last sincere attempt. Johnny is 16 months old now, so I can't really hold on to baby weight as an excuse any longer :) Looking forward to sharing my progress, recipes, etc.

Life, lately.
Here is our June so far. I've very much enjoyed following the boys around on the weekends, snapping photos, and spending time on domestic necessities. Father's day was wonderful, and between two awesome meals, we made it a point to take a walk by the home we are hoping to make our own. Mikey has been cracking me up lately with his strong opinions on what he ought to be wearing. One morning it was a pair of boxers and a Christmas sweater vest. He is a fashion pioneer! Johnny remains quiet, and still has very few words, but excellent non-verbal communication, especially when it comes to letting us know that he either needs a snack or a nap! Josh and I have been keeping quiet lately. Silently praying that we get to move into the house up the street at the end of July, and spend the next 2 decades raising our babies there! One of the first things on my "to do" list is to adopt a kitten, and train him to be a ferocious mouse hunter. We've had a recent rash of rodent ridiculousness in our rental home, and my solution is to get a kitty!
Besides all that - Josh and I are thinking long and hard about our need for fellowship, and are looking forward to visiting a church in the very near future with our neighbors. This particular church has an amazing online presence, so I'm hoping to catch a sermon or two online if possible in the mean time.
Life is good. And somehow very calm, even amid all the uncertainty with the house situation. Looking forward to many more tales of Life on Bridgewood!

Holding our breath...
Michael, Jonathan. If our latest project goes as we hope, very soon you will be moving into the home you are going to grow up in. The perfect home, because it will be where we raise you. We can't wait to dig our selves in and make this place our own. You boys will be able to see Grandma & Papa's house from your bedrooms. We'll mark your heights on the wall over the years, so you can see how little you started and how far you've come. You will have sleepovers, go camping in the backyard. You will climb the trees and make believe, all under this roof.
We are hoping and wishing so hard for this to come true, to make a permanent home for you. Today, and probably for the next few weeks, we will be holding our breath!

Memorial Day Weekend
We had our first Memorial Day weekend in South Carolina, and it was splendid. I tried to explain to Mikey what all the excitement was about, and how awesome our military is, but it wasn't exactly sinking in. That is ok - maybe I'll wait until he is 4.5 to explain the importance of such things.
We celebrated with family - specifically with G-ma & Papa, and also J's cousin Jess and her fiance Shane. I must have forgotten about my camera at that point, because I didn't take a single picture of them! Here are a few snapshots from the weekend (and I might need to pick up the pace on my posts considering we are almost upon a whole new weekend!).
